U18 CCFB Paris became the first finalist of the Euroleague Basketball ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT on Saturday, by defeating U18 CSKA Moscow with a commanding 73-61. The win left Paris' record at a perfect 3-0 to win Group A and advance to the championship game. Thanks to the combo formed by Ivan Fevrier and Yanik Blanc, the French team soared to double-digit leads soon and never looked back. Fevrier led the winners with 20 points, Blanc added 14 and Mathis Dossou-Yovo helped with 10 and 8 rebounds. For CSKA, Alexander Khomenko led with 17 points including 11 free throws and Aleksandr Ershov helped with 15.

Blanc opened the decisive game with a three as a statement for Paris, but CSKA did not back off and tied the game, 9-9, in minute 5 with Ershov's three. However, Paris managed to fire up a 19-2 run that stunned the Russian team and made it a 28-11 deal in minute 12, with Ivan Fevrier leading the charge for Paris. The advantage for the French team climbed to the 20 points with a 33-13, but that did not stop CSKA, who, despite struggling from the arc, managed to cut down that deficit to 12 points, 39-27, when the game reached the halftime break. Paris started the third period with a 7-0 run including a Fevrier three that allowed them to dominate again, as the difference escalated to 23 points with a 57-34 Paris edge. CSKA never backed down, but the Fevrier - Blanc combo proved to be too strong for the Russian side.
