"For the first time this season, we were able to play real tough European basketball. In the first half we were not playing not good, we were just not producing. We were anxious and when you play against players like Kaukenas and Lavrinovic, when you play on their ground, they are so experienced, so smart, you look stupid on the court. If we play chess with them, we lose. In the second half we did not play chess, we played very physical and very good defense. We put them under great physical pressure and dominated the game in the second half. So for the first time my team played tough defense as I expected."

"It was a tough game for us. We played two quarters very well, but in the end Bamberg deserved this win, especially after what they did in the third quarter. We are newcomer in the Eurocup and are learning what it means to play on this level. The physical level in the third quarter was very high. For this we are working, and learning, we have many young kids. It was a good lesson for us, because we tried to play a good game. But Bamberg on the court showed that they deserved to win this game.
