Dennis Horner (nba.com)Artland Dragons added a key piece to its frontcourt by signing Dennis Horner. The deal allows Artland to opt out after two weeks as they test Horner's fitness, because the player is coming off a stress fracture in his foot. Horner (2.06 meter, 24 years old) is a classic stretch-four, a power forward that can open of defenses with his three-point shooting. He arrives from Springfield of the NBA D-League, for whom he averaged 17 points and 8.5 rebounds in 25 games last season. After the season Horner was voted to the All-D-League Third Team. He also played briefly for New Jersey in the NBA last season. After a college basketball career at North Carolina State, Horner began his professional career in Europe in 2010. He signed in Belgium with RBC Verviers-Pepinster, but never played there and finished the season with Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus.
