It took Khimki Moscow Region a big effort to pull a 86-91 road win at Igokea Aleksandrovac and the big instigator of the victory for the Russian team was Michael Green who, in the process, earned weekly MVP honors for Regular Season Round 5 . Green racked up an index rating of 34 based on 17 points - 4 of 5 twos, 6 of 6 free throws -, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal and 10 drawn fouls. He therefore was the most valued player among winning teams - and overall - this week to earn the honor. Second in line was Spartak St. Petersburg's Steven Burtt with an index rating of 32. He scored 21 points and dished 9 assists that built up in his index rating column. Dylan Page of CEZ Basketball Nymburk with a 31 and Ryan Thompson of Telenet Ostend with a 30 completed the top positions in the index rating rankings this week.
Individual highs: Levente Juhos, Maurice Kemp 12 steals for Alba Fehervar, 6 each
Two players led all scorers this week with 25 points apiece, Ramone Moore of Alba Fehervar and Thompson of Telenet Ostend. Page of CEZ Nymburk followed with 24. Eight players pulled 10 rebounds or more this week, but on top of them was Colton Iverson of Besiktas Integral Forex Istanbul with his 12, 8 defensive and 4 offensive. Cedric Jackson of Union Olimpija Ljubljana had the same number of assists, 12, to be the bestpasser this week. Jiri Welsch of CEZ Nymburk followed with 11. Two players racked up 12 steals for Alba Fehervar with 6 apiece, Levente Juhos and Maurice Kemp, while Brian Randle of Maccabi Haifa Bazan led all stoppers with 4 blocked shots.
