Eighthfinals Game 2 MVP: Vladimir Golubovic, Aykon TED Ankara Kolejliler

The second leg of the Eighthfinals delivered the drama it promised before it started, and when all was said and done, a familiar face emerged to earn weekly MVP honors. Big man Vladimir Golubovic of Aykon TED Ankara Kolejliler was MVP of the week for the third time this season thanks to an index rating performance of 38 that led his team to a win over Khimik Yuzhne to overcome the loss in Game 1 and advance to the Quarterfinals. Golubovic scored 23 points, pulled 14 rebounds, had 3 steals and drew 12 fouls to become the winning player this week with the highest index rating. Second in line was Nizhny Novgorod's Taylor Rochestie, who, with an index raing performance of 33, led his team also to the next phase. Rochestie scored 23 points - including 4 of 5 threes - combined with 7 assists and 6 drawn fouls. James Augustine of Khimki Moscow Region completed the podium this week with a 31 index rating that led his team to a 15-point win over Valencia Basket, but not enough to advance to the next phase.
Individual highs: Andrew Goudelock of Unics, 29 points
The top scorer of the week was Andrew Goudelock of Unics Kazan, in another great offensive performance for him this season. Goudelock scored 29 points against CEZ Basketball Nymburk to sweep the series. Golubovic was the top rebounder this week also with his 14 boards, 10 defensive and 4 offensive. Only Tomas Pomikalek of CEZ Nymburk reached double figues in rebounds with his 10. Paul Delaney of Khimik Yuzhne was the best passer this week thanks to his 9 assists. On the defensive end, Kevin Lisch of JSF Nanterre had as many as 4 steals while Artsiom Parakhouski of Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem was huge one more night in the paint with his 3 blocks.
