Russian powerhouse BC Khimki Moscow Region made official the acquisition of one of the most promising big men in Europe, Joffrey Lauvergne, for the next two seasons. Lauvergne (2.11 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Partizan NIS Belgrade, where last year he started in all his 24 Turkish Airlines Euroleague participations. He ranked first overall in offensive rebounds (44) and total rebounds (114) during the Top 16 and he was also the player that played the most minutes during the regular season (340) and also the best rebounder (93) of the phase. This will be Lauvergne's comeback to the Eurocup after he played only 2 games with Valencia Basket in 2012. In December of that year he moved to Partizan where he spent the last two seasons. Lauvergne started his career in his native France with Centre Federal and then he moved to Elan Chalon, where he spent four seasons also making his Euroleague debut in 2012-13 for 7 games, before moving to Valencia for a short period of time.
