Romanian champion CSU Asesoft Ploiesti continued working on its roster for their second season in Eurocup, announcing on Thursday morning extension of contract with center Gerald Lee. He is the fourth player club re-signed this summer, after previously doing so with team captain Catalin Burlacu, as well as guards Jonte Flowers and Levente Szijarto. Lee (2.08 meters, 26 years old) led the team in Eurocup last season with 15.5 points and 7.3 rebounds, while also dishing 1.3 assists coming off the bench. He scored more than 20 points in four regular season games, and posted performance index rating higher than 20 in six contests, including 24 points against Pinar Karsiyaka, and 31 PIR against Igokea Aleksandrovac. This will be Lee's third campaign in the competition, after also reaching Eurocup Quarterfinals with Buducnost VOLI Podgorica in 2012-13. During his career, Lee also played in Udine and Veroli in Italy, as well as Korihait, club he grew up with in his native Finland.
