Romanian League champion CSU Asesoft Ploiesti moved to add firepower on the perimeter by inking combo guard Marius Runkauskas for next season. Runkauskas (1.89 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Lithuanian League runner-up Neptunas Klaipeda, for whom he averaged 11 points off the bench in 10 Eurocup games last season, his first in the competition. Runkauskas was a streak shooter who knocked down 4 three-pointers in one game and 5 in another. He has played four of his seven pro seasons to date with Neptunas, in his hometown of Klaipeda, Lithuania. He spent another season with ASK Riga of Latvia and two in the French second division with Quimper.
