Kristaps Porzingis - Cajasol Seville

Baloncesto SevillaBaloncesto Seville returns to the Eurocup for the third time. Last season, coaching legend Aito Garcia Reneses and star guard Tomas Satoransky led one of the youngest teams in Europe to the Spanish League playoffs before losing against Eurocup champion Valencia Basket in the quarterfinals. Now a new-look squad hopes to build on that success. Founded in 1987, the then-called Caja San Fernando needed just two years to reach the Spanish elite and quickly established itself as a tough team to beat. The club soon went a step higher, finishing fifth in 1993 and sixth in 1994, earning the right to take part in the Korac Cup. With Aca Petrovic as coach and Michael Anderson as its reference, Seville reached the Spanish League finals in 1996 and earned the right to play the 1996-97 Euroleague. It did even better in the 1998-99 season, led by Coach Javier Imbroda and star guard Andre Turner. Caja reached both the Spanish League and the Spanish King's Cup finals, but lost to FC Barcelona and Tau Ceramica Vitoria, respectively. Caja played the 1999-00 Euroleague, but soon slumped and missed the Spanish playoffs for a full decade. With Coach Joan Plaza and forward Tariq Kirksay leading the way, Cajasol returned to the playoffs in 2010 and went all the way to the 2011 Eurocup title game, losing against Unics Kazan. Cajasol also played the 2012-13 Eurocup and made it to the Last 32. With new management, young talent and great ambition, Baloncesto Seville will be a fun-to-watch team in the 2014-15 Eurocup.
