Virtus Rome lands Morgan, Sandri

Virtus Roma bolstered its roster for the upcoming season by inking center Jordan Morgan and small forward Daniele Sandri this weekend. Morgan (2.03 meters, 22 years old) arrives from the University of Michigan, where he just finished his college career. He averaged 6.4 points and 5 rebounds in 37 NCAA games last season. He helped Michigan reach the NCAA Tournament title game in 2013. Sandri (1.97 meters, 23 years old) arrives from PMS Torino of the Italian second division, where he averaged 6.1 points and 4.6 rebounds. Sandri started his career with Benetton Treviso, playing 5 Eurocup games in the 2009-10 season. He has also played for Nobili CSC Castelletto.
