Artland Dragons Quakenbrueck reached an agreement with forward Dennis Horner to work together next season, the club announced Friday. Horner (2.06 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Bakersfield of the D-League, where he averaged 12.6 points and 8 rebounds in 18 games. He started the 2013-14 season with Springfield also of the D-League and averaged 15 points and 6.1 rebounds in 29 games before joining Bakersfield. Horner played briefly for Quakenbrueck in the 2012-13 season, and averaged 7 points and 7 rebounds in three German League games. He has also played for New Jersey of the NBA and Hasapis Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus.
"Dennis played for us for a short time but proved he is a hard worker," Quakenbrueck head coach Tyron McCoy said. "I saw him play this summer and he has continued to improve. When he first played for us, he had just recovered from a broken foot. Now he is 100% fit - you can clearly see the difference."
