CSU Asesoft puts Brown at point

CSU Asesoft Ploiesti found a new floor general in playmaker Dee Brown, who inked a one-year deal with the Romanian powerhouse on Friday. Brown (1.85 meters, 29 years old) arrives from VEF Riga, where he averaged 12.2 points and 5.5 assists in 10 Eurocup games last season. He has also played for Turk Telekom Ankara and Galatasaray Istanbul in Turkey, Banca Tercas Teramo and Air Avellino in Italy, Quebradillas Pirates in Puerto Rico, Qingdao Double Star in China, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv in Israel, as well as for Utah, Washington and Phoenix of the NBA. Brown has also been a member of the USA U18 national team which got a bronze medal at the 2002 Junior World Championships. He helped Maccabi win the Israeli League title in 2009 and took the University of Illinois to the NCAA Tournament title game in 2005. Brown also took Galatasaray to the ULEB Cup semifinals in 2008.
