Telekom Baskets adds experienced big man Klimavicius

Telekom Baskets Bonn fortified its frontcourt for the upcoming season by inking power forward Tadas Klimavicius to a one-year deal on Sunday. Klimavicius (2.04 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Zalgiris Kaunas, where he averaged 4.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 22 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. he played for Zalgiris in each of the last six seasons, his second stint with the club, as he has already been with the Lithuanian powerhouse in the 2002-03 season. He helped Zalgiris win three Lithuanian League, two Lithuanian Cups and three Baltic League titles since he returned to the club in summer 2008. Klimavicius has also played for AEL 1964 Larissa of Cyprus, Fabriano Basket of Italy, as well as for Alita-Savy Alytus and Siauliai in Lithuania. He has also been a member of the Lithuanian national team, to which he helped win a bronze medal at the 2010 FIBA World Championships.
