Belgacom Spirou Charleroi added guard Loic Schwartz to its roster and given the player a new three-year contract. Schwartz (1.95 meters, 21 years old) was under contract to Spirou last season, but played on loan at fellow Belgian side Verviers-Pepinster, where he averaged 4.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. He has also emerged as a regular for the Belgian national team, with whom he averaged 6 points in five games in the EuroBasket qualifying this past summer. Schwartz began his professional career with Mons-Hainaut, where he played from 2010 through 2013. He has also played for Belgium at the Under-16, U18 and U20 levels.
