SLUC Nancy bolstered its frontcourt by inking big man Ryan Reid for the remainder of the season, the club announced this weekend. Reid (2.04 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Chorale Roanne, where he averaged 7.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 29 French League games last season. He also played for Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico, Oklahome City of the NBA, Tulsa of the D-League and Intermache Zastal Zielona Gora of Poland. He helped the Jamaican national team get a bronze medal at the CBC Championships in Nassau, Bahamas, averaging 9.3 points and a competition-best 10 rebounds in 4 games. He replaces Damir Krupalija, who was released, and steps in for former Eurocup champion Florent Pietrus, who will be sidelined for at least 10 days due to injury.
