A familiar face has returned to Partizan NIS Belgrade, none other than swingman Aleksandar Pavlovic, who inked a contract for the remainder of the season. Pavlovic (2.01 meters, 31 years old) averaged 11.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 7 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games with Partizan last season. He joined the Serbian powerhouse from the NBA, where he spent 10 seasons with seven different clubs. He began his career with Buducnost Podgorica and played two years in the Euroleague, averaging 9.7 points over 13 games in the 2002-03 season. His NBA record is 567 regular season games, 142 as starter, and 52 playoffs games. He averaged 15.7 minutes and 4.9 points in the regular season, 16.6 minutes and 4.6 points in the playoffs. He reached the 2007 NBA finals with Cleveland, averaging 9.2 points as a starter in 20 playoff games that season. Pavlovic was a member of the Serbia and Montenegro 2004 Olympic team, playing in four games, averaging 3.5 points and 1.8 rebounds. He helped Partizan win the Serbian League title last season. Pavlovic will see a lot of playing time right away, as Edo Muric is expected to miss the remainder of the Eurocup regular season due to injury.
