Coming off one of the biggest victories in club history, CSU Asesoft Ploiesti has added all-around prospect Stefan Pot to its backcourt for the rest of the Last 32 and beyond. Pot (1.96 meters, 20 years old) arrives from Vojvodina Novi Sad of the Serbian, with whom he was averaging 15.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists this season. He had been in the Novi Sad for three seasons after being part of the Crvena Zvezda junior program, with whom he reached the Euroleague Basketball International Junior Tournament final round in 2011, averaging 6 points, 4 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He was aslo a member of the Serbian team that won the silver medal at the 2013 FiBA U19 World Championship in Prague, as well as a bronze medalist in European championships with the U18 and U20 teams. Pot was reported to have signed with Ploiesti through 2018. Ploiesti got its first Eurocup victory beyond the regular season, and the first road win by a Romanian team in Spain since 1973, last week against Valencia Basket.
