Rice caps standout season as Eurocup Finals MVP

Tyrese Rice accomplished every goal he set for Khimki Moscow Region this season and then some. After leading Khimki to the 2014-15 Eurocup title with a sweep of the two-game finals series, Rice was voted 2015 Eurocup Finals MVP. Rice was selected overwhelmingly in a vote of accredited journalists at Game 2 of the series at the Basketball Center of Moscow Region.

Rice starred with 16 points and 6 assists in Game 2 to cap a historic season. Before that, he amassed 13 points and 5 assists in Game 1. Not only did Rice, who led Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv to the 2014 Turkish Airlines Euroleague championship last season, become the first player in competition history to win the Euroleague and Eurocup in back-to-back seasons, he also became the first to win the Euroleague Final Four MVP and Eurocup Finals MVP trophies. Moreover, Rice is also the first to win the Eurocup MVP and Eurocup Finals MVP in the same season. Rice finished his standout Eurocup campaign with averages of 17 points, 5.5 assists and a performance index rating of 18.3.
