ratiopharm Ulm adds center Neumann
ratiopharm Ulm added size to its roster by inking center Philipp Neumann to a two-year deal on Wednesday. Neumann (2.09 meters, 23 years old) arrives from EWE Baskets Oldenburg, where he averaged 6.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 10 Eurocup games last season. He started his career with SSKC Aschaffenburg / TV Langen and also played for Franken Heer before joining Brose Baskets Bamberg in 2009. He made his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Bamberg in the 2010-11 season and helped the club win three consecutive German League titles from 2011 to 2013, also lifting back-to-back German League trophies in 2011 and 2012. He joined Oldenburg early last season and helped it win the German Cup, scoring 12 points in the final against Bamberg. Neumann is also a member of the German national team. Ulm also announced that Isaiah Philmore and Adam Hess left the team.
