CAI Zaragoza started to put together a competitive roster for the foreseeable future by inking small forward Robin Benzing to a two-year deal on Tuesday. Benzing (2.08 meters, 26 years old) arrives from FC Bayern Munich, where he averaged 7.9 points in 8 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. He was sidelined for weeks due to an ankle injury and returned to action to average 3.3 points in 4 Eurocup games. Benzing helped Bayern lift the German League trophy in 2014. Benzing started his career with TV Langen and also played for ratiopharm Ulm before joining Bayern in 2011. Benzing is also a regular member of the German national team. "Robin is a versatile player able to do many different things on offense," Zaragoza sports manager Willy Villar said. "He is looking forward to bringing out his best version to help us win. He knows this is the best place to achieve that goal and we hope he will be a very important player for us."
