Nizhny Novgorod stayed very active in this off-season by signing sharp shooter Maksim Grigroyev to a two-year deal. Grigroyev (1.95 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, to which he helped win the Eurocup title in 2013. He averaged 4.3 points in 15 Eurocup games last season, as well as 5.1 points on 40.8% three-point shooting in 30 VTB League games. Grigroyev joined Lokomotiv at age 16 and also helped his former club reach the VTB League final in 2013 and the EuroChallenge title game in 2011. Grigoryev also helped Lokomotiv set a new Eurocup all-time record for most consecutive wins, 20, getting 19 of those last season. He has also been a member of the Russian national team. "I am looking forward to taking it to the next level as a player with Nizhny Novgorod," Grigroyev said. "I know I am coming to a team with a great atmosphere. I played with many of these guys in youth teams."
