Unics Kazan and Valery Likhodey reached an agreement to keep working together next season, the club announced Wednesday. Likhodey (2.05 meters, 28 years old) averaged 2.5 points in 6 Eurocup games last season, helping his team reach the semifinals. He saw more playing time in the VTB League, averaging 6.6 points and 2 rebounds in 26 games. Likhodey played for CSKA Moscow, CSK VVS Samara, Triumph Lyubertsy, Spartak St. Petersburg and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar before joining Unics last season. He helped Lokomotiv win the Eurocup title and reach the VTB League final in 2013. Likhodey is also a member of the Russian national team.
