Trabzonspor Medical Park signed one of last season’s Turkish Airlines Euroleague breakout performers and the Polish league MVP, big man Damian Kulig, to a two-year contract. Kulig (2.05 meters, 28 years old) was a top 10 scorer in the Euroleague Regular Season with 15.2 points over 10 games for PGE Turow Zgorzelec. He was second among all centers with 17 three-pointers and 47.2% three-point accuracy and also tallied 5.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. Afterwards, he compiled 18.9 points and 7.3 rebounds in the Eurocup in heling the team reach the quarterfinals. His 20.5 points per game and average performance index rating of 24.7 were both second-best in the Eurocup Last 32 phase. Trabzonspor will be Kulig’s first stop outside his native Poland, where he has also suited up for KS AWF Mickiewicz Team Polska Katowice, UMKS Piotrcovia Piotrkow Trybunalski, Big Star Tichy, Polpharma Starogard and PBG Basket Poznan. Kulig, who led Turow to the 2014 Polish League title, is also a member of the Polish national team.
