Unics Kazan bolstered its frontcourt by inking center Art Parakhouski to a two-year deal on Sunday. Parakhouski (2.11 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Nizhny Novgorod and comes off an outstanding Turkish Airlines Euroleague season, in which he averaged 13 points, 6.7 rebounds and a competition-best 2 blocks in 23 games. He started his career with VEF Riga, making his Eurocup debut in 2010-11 season and averaging 8 points in 6 games. Parakhouski has also played for Pallacanestro Canty of Italy, Budivelnyk Kiev of Ukraine, Olin Edirne Basketball of Turkey and Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem of Israel. He helped VEF win the Latvian League title in 2011 and also lifted the Ukrainian Cup trophy with Budivelnyk in 2012. Parakhouski is also a member of the Belarusian national team.
