Three time Eurocup champion Valencia Basket strengthened its backcourt with addition of point guard Antoine Diot who signed a two-year contract on Friday. Diot (1.92 meters, 26 years old) arrives from French side Strasbourg where he spent the past two seasons. Last year he averaged 12.4 points, 5.1 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 16 Eurocup games. That was Diot's fourth Eurocup campaign in the past six seasons since he made debut in the competition with Le Mans. He also has three Turkish Airlines Euroleague seasons under his belt. Last season Diot also posted 10.7 points, 5.6 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals in the French League, helping Strasbourg reach the finals. Diot started his professional career with Le Mans where he spent five seasons, and he played a season for Paris Levallois before joining Strasbourg in 2013. Diot is also a regular member of the French national team, winning the gold at the EuroBasket 2013, and bronze at 2014 FIBA World Cup.
