ratiopharm Ulm found a new player in forward Da'Sean Butler, who inked a one-year deal with his new team on Sunday. Butler (2.01 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Champagne Chalons-Reims Basket, where he averaged 10.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in 30 French League games last season. He has also played for San Antonio of the NBA, Austin of the D-League, VEF Riga of Latvia and Okapi Aalstar of Belgium. Before that, he helped West Virginia University win the Big East Tournament - earning MVP honors - and reach the NCAA Tournament final four. Butler has also been a member of the USA U21 and University national teams. He helped USA win a bronze medal at the 2009 World University games. Butler helped Austin win the D-League title in 2012 and reached the Belgian League finals with Aalstar in 2014. He is set to make his Eurocup debut with Ulm next season.
