Trabzonspor Medical Park added depth to its roster for the upcoming Eurocup debut by signing point guard Ibrahim Yildirim and forward Berkay Candan, club announced Tuesday. Yildirim (1.90 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Usak Sportif where last year he averaged 5.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the Turkish League action. He also had 6.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in the FIBA EuroChallenge. Yildrim grew up with Banvit Bandirma, and has made his Eurocup debut with that club in 2010-11 season, averaging 5.8 points. During his career he also played for Genc Banvitliler, Bandirma Kirmizi and Tofas Bursa. Meanwhile, Candan (2.05 meters, 25 years old) spent last season with Banvit, and helped the club reach Eurocup semifinals averaging 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in a limited role mainly off the bench. That was Canadan’s second full Eurocup campaign, after debuting with TED Ankara Kolejliler in 2013-14 season. He grew up and made his professional debut with Fenerbahce-Ulker, and has also played for Olin Edirne.
