Aris Thessaloniki announced the return of veteran guard Michalis Pelekanos, who inked a two-year deal with the Greek powerhouse on Wednesday. Pelekanos (1.98 meters, 34 years old) arrives from CSU Asesoft Ploiesti, where he averaged 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 16 Eurocup games last season. He helped Asesoft win the Romanian League title and reach the Eurocup Last 32. Pelekanos already played for Aris in the previous two seasons, helping his team reach the Greek Cup final in 2014. He has also played for Olympiacos Pireaus, Maroussi, Panellinios Athens, AEK Athens and Peristeri Athens in Greece, as well as for Real Madrid in Spain. He helped Olympiacos win the Greek League and the Turkish Airlines Euroleague titles in 2012. Pelekanos has also been a member of the Greek national team.
