Jerusalem keeps sixth man Gaffney
Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem reached a new agreement with power forward Tony Gaffney to keep working together next season, the club announced Saturday. Gaffney (2.04 meters, 30 years old) averaged 8.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 40 Israeli League games last season. He helped Hapoel win the Israeli League title and was chosen as the competition's best sixth man, and also averaged 6.1 points and a block in 10 Eurocup games. Gaffney has also played for Altshuler Saham Galil Gilboa of Israel, Boston of the NBA, Turk Telekom Ankara of Turkey, Utah of the D-League, Telekom Baskets Bonn of Germany and FIATC Joventut of Spain.
