Banvit adds star forward Moerman
Banvit Bandirma bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Adrien Moerman on Saturday. Moerman (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Limoges CSP, where he averaged 9.2 points and 6.9 rebounds in 10 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. When Limoges joined the 2014-15 Eurocup, Moerman went on to average 12 points and 8.5 rebounds in 6 games. He helped Limoges win back-to-back French League titles in his two seasons with the club and was chosen as the 2014-15 French League MVP, averaging 14.5 points and 8.8 rebounds in 41 games. Moerman has also played for Chorale de Roanne, JSF Nanterre, Entente Orleans 45 and SLUC Nancy of France, as well as for Bilbao Basket of Spain, to which he helped reach the Eurocup title game in 2013. Moerman won another French League title with Roanne in 2007 and lifted the French Cup trophy with Orleans in 2010. He has also been a member of the French national team. Moerman helped France get a bronze medal at the 2007 U19 World Championships.
