Banvit Bandirma found a new point guard in Courtney Fortson, who will make his Eurocup debut with the Turkish powerhouse next season. Fortson (1.80 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Avtodor Saratov, where he played in the last two seasons. He comes off a great season in which he led the EuroChallenge in assists (9.8 apg.), was fifth in scoring (17.2 ppg.) and third in steals (1.9 spg.). Fortson also shined in the VTB League, ranking second in scoring (19.1 ppg.) and assists (8.2 apg.). Fortson has also played for Trotamundos de Carabobo of Venezuela, Caneros de la Romana of the Dominican Republic, Los Angeles, Reno and Rio Grande of the D-League, Houston of the NBA and Steaua Bucharest of Romania. He helped Avtodor win the Russian Superleague title in 2014.
