Oldenburg lands Schwethelm for two seasons

EWE Baskets Oldenburg continued strengthening the roster by signing small forward Philipp Schwethelm to a two-year deal. Schwethelm (2.01 meters, 26 years old) has spent the past three seasons with ratipharm Ulm, where he totaled 30 Eurocup appearances. Last season he averaged 5.2 points on 44.4% three-point shooting and 2.2 rebounds in the German League. Schwethelm came through the Koeln 99ers junior team and later played for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and FC Bayern Munich. He has also played for the German national team.

"I am extremely happy to be able to play EWE Baskets for the next two years," Schwethelm said. "Oldenburg is an ambitious and highly professionally organization. The talks with Coach Drijencic have inspired me. I am already looking forward to next season. "
