EWE Baskets Oldenburg made sure to keep combo guard Dominic Lockhart for the future by re-signing him to a two-year contract. Lockhart (1.98 meters, 21 years old) averaged 1 point and 1.3 assists in nine Eurocup games and 1.1 points and 0.6 assists in just over eight minutes per game as a reserve in the German League last season. He began his career with Giessen and played their through 2013, when he first joined Oldenburg. Lockhart has also represented Germany at the Under-20, U18 and U16 levels.
”I was very happy to be able to stay two more years in Oldenburg,” Lockhart said. “I like the city, I like to live here, the infrastructure in the team is very good. In addition, Mladen was my coach in recent years. We know how to work together and I trust him. Two years ago, Mladen was the deciding factor in my decision to come to Oldenburg, because I knew him from the [junior] national team. Even then, our understanding was excellent and is since then grown considerably. For me there was no better situation than to stay in Oldenburg.
