Ludwigsburg re-signs rebounding ace Brockman

MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg signed a new deal with center Jon Brockman, who led the German League in rebounding last season. Brockman (2.01 meters, 28 years old) averaged 12.8 points and 9.8 rebounds in 32 German League games last season. He returns to the Eurocup after posting 8.8 points and 7.1 rebounds in nine games for Elan Chalon two years ago. He has also played for CSP Limoges in France and both Milwaukee and Sacramento in the NBA following a college basketball career that saw Brockman leave the University of Washington as the Huskies' all-time leader in rebounds (1,283) and ranked third in scoring (1,805 points). Earlier this year, Brockman was inducted into the Pac-12 Conference Hall of Honor.

"Jon Brockman is a great role model and a leader in the team," Coach John Patrick said. "We are very happy that he will stay in Ludwigsburg. With his commitment, we have created a good basis for the team next season."
