Aris Thessaloniki signed guard Jerel McNeal for the coming season to give it a top-level scorer. McNeal (1.91 meters, 28 years old) was last season’s NBA Development League Impact Player of the Year after averaging 18.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.1 steals in 27 games for Bakersfield. He finished the season with Phoenix of the NBA. McNeal has past European experience playing for Dexia Mons-Hainaut in Belgium and Sutor Basket Montegranaro in Italy. He also played in China for Zhejiang Golden Bulls. McNeal is also a three-time All-NBA D-League selection, including making the 2013 first team.
