MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg kept building its roster for the upcoming season by inking point guard Kevin Dillard to a one-year deal on Saturday. Dillard (1.83 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Elan Bearnais Pau-Orthez, where he averaged 11.8 points and 3.3 assists in 23 French League games last season. He started the 2014-15 season with VEF Riga, averaging 8.8 points in 4 Eurocup games before joining Pau-Orthez in December. Dillard has also played for Novipiu Casale Monferrato of the Italian second division. "Kevin is what we call a 'student of the game' - someone who really studied and analyzed the game," Ludwigsburg head coach John Patrick said. "He has a high basketball IQ and has a winning mentality. Kevin has a strong body for a playmaker, good ballhandling and a solid jump shot. He also works hard on defense."
