ALBA Berlin improved its backcourt for the upcoming season by inking combo guard Jordan Taylor to a one-year deal on Friday. Taylor (1.85 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Hapoel Holon, where he averaged 14.4 points, 2.8 assists and 1.9 steals in 37 Israeli League games last season. He played the 2013-14 Eurocup with Italian side Virtus Rome, averaging 10.9 points, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals in 8 games. Roma was the first stop in his professional career after graduating at the University of Wisconsin (NCAA). He helped Rome reach the Italian League finals in 2013. "I am very happy and it is an honor for me now to play for a club with such a great tradition in European basketball as ALBA Berlin," Taylor said. "I have heard nothing but good things and am looking forward to meeting ALBA and Germany soon. Primarily, of course, when it comes to basketball, but also in terms of culture and the people of Germany."
