Le Mans Sarthe Basket added versatility and size to its roster by inking forward Damion James to a one-year deal on Tuesday. James (2.01 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Alaska Aces, where he averaged 26.7 points and 14.2 rebounds in 9 Philippines Commissioner's Cup games last season. He started the 2014-15 season with Frisco of the D-League, averaging 18.3 points and 10.1 rebounds in 29 games before travelling to the Philippines. James has also played for New Jersey and San Antonio of the NBA and Bakersfield of the D-League. "I spoke to him and felt his motivation of those players who are ready for a challenge," Le Mans head coach Erman Kunter said. "Damion is an all-around power forward who I believe will fit well in our team."
