Spanish squad CAI Zaragoza has been busy over the weekend as the club announced the arrival of veteran shooting guard Drake Diener for the next season. Diener (1.96 meters, 33 years old) arrives from Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia of Italy, where last season he averaged 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 4 Eurocup games. His best game last season was against CAI Zaragoza, in which he scored 19 points and dished 6 assists. Diener played college ball with DePaul from 2001 to 2005 and since then, he has spent his entire career in Italy with several teams, including Montepaschi Siena, Air Avellino, Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari or Teramo. In 2014 he was chosen Italian League MVP and he was also the best scorer of the season.
