CAI Zaragoza signed forward Halil Kanacevic for the coming season on Thursday. Kanacevic (2.03 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Union Olimpija Ljubljana, with whom he made his Eurocup debut last season. Kanacevic averaged 10.9 points and 5.3 rebounds; he was the Last 32 Round 2 MVP after posting 27 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks in a road win at JDA Dijon. He also posted 5.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in the Adriatic League, too. Kanacevic made his pro debut in 2013-14 with Virtus Rome after playing college basketball at Hofstra University and St. Joseph's University. Kanacevic, whose parents are from Montenegro, was raised in New York, but has also played for the Montenegrin U20 national team.
