Galatasaray Istanbul added an elite scorer by signing Errick McCollum for the coming season. McCollum (1.88 meters, 27 years old), who led the 2013-14 Eurocup in scoring, set a Chinese Basketball Association record last season with an 82-point performance for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls. He averaged 39.6 points per game for the season, which was the best scoring average of any professional player in the world last season. McCollum also recorded 7.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game in China. Over the summer, McCollum led the Overseas Elite squad to the championship of U.S.-based The Basketball Tournament, which brought with it a prize of 1 million dollars for the team. McCollum paced Panionios with 20.2 points in his lone Eurocup season. He has also played for Apollon Patras in Greece and Elitzur Netanya and Hapoel Kfar Saba.
