EWE Baskets adds Prepelic to its backcourt
EWE Baskets Oldenburg added another piece to its backcourt, signing combo-guard Klemen Prepelic to a short-term deal, club announced on Monday. Prepelic (1.91 meters, 22 years old) arrives from Union Olimpija, were he averaged 7.2 points in Eurocup, and 10.8 points, 2.5 assists and 1.9 rebounds in the Adriatic League action last season. He is fresh off playing for his native Slovenia at the EuroBasket 2015, where he averaged 9.8 points, 4.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds. A veteran of two Eurocup seasons, Prepelic comes to Oldenburg to fill in for an injured pair of guards Scott Machado and Vaughn Duggins. Previously in his career he also played for Maribor and Helios Domzale in Slovenia, as well as Banvit Bandirma in Turkey.
