After losing its Eurocup season opener in which it failed to make even a single three-pointer, Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem moved quickly to upgrade its perimeter attack by signing sharpshooter Matt Janning for the remainder of the season. Janning (1.93 meters, 27 years old) last played for Anadolu Efes Istanbul, for whom he averaged 6.9 points in 27 games last season. He also contributed 10.8 points per game in the Turkish League and helped Efes with the Turkish Cup. Janning has previously suited up for Cibona Zagreb in Croatia, Montepaschi Siena and Casale Monferrato in Italy in addition to stints in the NBA D-League with Maine and Rio Grande. Among his career highlights is winning the 2013 Italian League and Cup double with Siena.
