Szolnoki Olaj will look for its first win of the season in the competition with a new head coach after appointing club legend Peter Por to lead the team, the club announced on Monday. Por is Szolonki’s own homegrown product, and he will make his return to the club’s bench in Round 3 clash against Zenit St. Petersburg. Por was head coach at Szolnoki from 2004 until 2012, and in that period was three-time domestic league champion, and has led the team to three more cup titles. On the bench he replaces Dragan Aleksic who resigned following a winless start of the Eurocup campaign, and a home loss to Zalakeramia in the Hungarian League – the second defeat in three games for the reigning Hungarian champs.
