Neptunas gets bigger with Plaisted
Neptunas Klaipeda added size to its front court ahead of the Eurocup Last 32, by signing veteran center Trent Plaisted, club announced on Wednesday. Plaisted (2.11 meters, 29 years old) returns to Lithuania, where he previously played with Zalgiris Kaunas, where he made his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut in the Top 16 in 2011, and later that spring helped the team lift Lithuanian title. Last season Plaisted played for the French side Limoges CSP, and averaged 3.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in Euroleague regular season, while in the French League he helped the team win the title with 4.2 points and 2.7 rebounds. Plaisted has 32 Eurocup games under his belt with Croatian teams KK Zadar and Cedevita Zagreb, German side ratiopharm Ulm, and a pair of games with Limoges last season. Big man, who had a college career at the Brigham Young University, also played professionally with Biella in Italy, Cherkasy in Ukraine and Aliaga Petkim in Turkey.
