Karisyaka inks point guard Jones
Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir has brought a new point guard to run its offense with the addition of Lazeric Jones, the club announced on Tuesday. Jones (1.82 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Iowa Energy of the D-League in the USA, where he last averaged 16.4 points, 4.9 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. Jones returns to Eurocup after making his debut in the competition last season with Szolnoki Olaj of Hungary, when in eight regular season games he posted 13 points, 4.1 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 steal per contest. Jones played two college seasons at the UCLA, before starting his professional career in 2012 with Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion in Israel and, a season later, playing for KAO Dramas in Greece.
