Khimki Moscow has come to terms with Dmitry Sokolov to keep the veteran center with the club for an additional season. Sokolov (2.14 meters, 31 years old) joined Khimki midway through last season and averaged 5.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in six Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 games. Prior to that Sokolov posted 8.8 points, 5.3 boards and 1 block in eight Eurocup games for Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd. The veteran center has played a total of 49 Euroleague games for CSKA Moscow, Unics Kazan and Khimki and 61 Eurocup games for Unics and Krasny Oktyabr. Among his career highlights are winning four Russian League titles, three Russian Cups and the VTB United League twice.
