Serbian powerhouse Partizan NIS Belgrade bolstered its frontcourt ahead of its return to Eurocup by signing center Djordje Majstorovic to a two-year deal, club announced on Tuesday. Majstorovic (2.08 meters, 26 years old) arrives from a fellow Serbian side Metalac Farmakom where last season he averaged 12.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in the Adriatic League and 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in the Serbian League action. Majstorovic originally grew up with Partizan, but started his professional career with CB Majadahonda in Spanish fourth division. He went back to Serbia and played for Vizura Smederevo, and later spent two seasons with Helios Domzale in Slovenia before joining Metalac in 2014.
“This is a big step forward in my career. I hope on the basketball court I will justify the trust Partizan has in me”, Majstorovic said. “This season Eurocup will be stronger than ever and I am looking forward to playing with my new teammates for the most successful Serbian club.”
