Nizhny Novgorod gets Zverev on loan
Nizhny Novgorod reached an agreement with Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar to get forward Nikita Zverev on loan next season, both clubs confirmed Wednesday. Zverev (2.07 meters, 22 years old) arrives from Stroitiel Engels, where he averaged 13.8 points on 60.1% two-point shooting, 8.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 23 Russian Superleague games last season. He grew up with Khimki Moscow Region but joined Lokomotiv's U23 team in 2013, where he played until he joined Stroitiel on January 2016. Zverev has also been a member of the Russian national team and is set to make his Eurocup debut with Nizhny next season. "I am glad to be part of this team, which gives chances to young Russian basketball players," Zverev said. "Next season will be very important for me in terms of my development, so I will try to make every effort to add all ingredients and earn out coach's trust."
