Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar announced an agreement with playmaker Dmitry Khvostov, who inked a theee-year deal with his new team on Thursday. Khvostov (1.90 meters, 26 years) arrives from Nizhny Novgorod, where he averaged 10.5 points on 49.4% three-point shooting, 3.1 rebounds and 6.7 assists in 20 Eurocup games last season. He ranked 2nd in assists and 6th in three-point shooting percentage. Khvostov started his career with Dynamo Moscow and also played for Khimki Moscow Region before joining Nizhny. He helped Khimki win its first Eurocup title in 2012. Khvostov is also a member of the Russian national team, helping it win respective bronze medals at EuroBasket 2011 and the 2012 Olympic Games. He has amassed 432 points and 271 assists (8th overall) in 77 Eurocup career games with Dynamo, Khimki and Nizhny. "I am glad to join Lokomotiv. This is a new important stage in my career," Khvostov said. "I will do my best to help the club reach its goals."
